MOSS 2010: “… exceeds the list view threshold enforced ….”
Recently while trying to rename a folder in the document library, ran into this error..
“The attempted operation is prohibited because it exceeds the list view threshold enforced by the administrator.”
To fix this, you will need to up the list view threshold of MOSS 2010..
.. well the real question is where to do that..
Navigate to:
Central Administration >> Manage Web Applications
Click on your web application to select it and then
General Settings >> Resource Throttling.
The first option in the poup is List View Threshold which, if not modified before this, should be displaying 5000. Up this value by 1000 or so till the error goes away.
